For more than forty years, David Stanfill has devoted himself to the craft of songwriting. Years of piano study and formal composition training—paired with an enthusiastic immersion in trumpet and music theory throughout middle and high school—taught him how to breathe through music and sharpened his ear to near–perfect pitch. As a child, whenever his mother asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, he had only one answer: “A rock star.” He spent his youth and teenage years tucked away for hours, composing rock anthems and heartfelt ballads with his collection of synthesizers. Now, as an adult with a fully equipped recording studio, David feels the moment has finally arrived. He is ready to share the songs that shaped his life with the world. David now performs live shows with his two rock bands, AXIS Five and Area 581.
